The purpose of the seminar was to provide insights to Kyrgyz Companies how to conduct business with U.S. trading partners, as well as information how to complete for Contracts with Manas Transit Center. During the seminar was discussed such issues as:
1) business philosophy;
2) ethics/business policy.
There were given explanations to some practical issues by the seminar holders as:
1) payment/invoice procedure;
2) types of contracts how to work with Kyrgyz Companies supplying goods for Transit Center Manas.
The Practical training research on “Practical issues of on maintenance the affaires in the International Commercial Arbitration” was conducted in the hotel “Ak-Keme”, Bishkek city. It was organized by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Baker & McKenzie Law Firm (Moscow), the International Arbitration Court (Kyrgyz Republic) and the USAID Projects on Business Environment Improvement in KR (BEI).
Along with other leading law and consulting companies, international and local organizations The President of the Law Firm “Partner” Mirgul Smanalieva and the Senior Lawyer Vitaly Khabarov participated in this practical training research.
The main purpose of the practical training research was the demonstration of the fundamental principles and rules in conducting arbitration proceedings in particular dispute.
Along with representatives of the business organizations and state supervisory bodies, the President of the Law Firm "Partner" Ms. Mirgul Smanalieva took part in the Round-table held by the State Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic under Taxes and Tax Collections with support of the USAID Projects on Business Environment Improvement in KR (BEI) and Economic Reforms to Enhance Competitiveness in KR (EREC).
On December 17, 2009 the Royal Norwegian Honorary Consulate in the Kyrgyz Republic was officially opened. On this occasion the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in the Republic of Kazakhstan and in the Kyrgyz Republic H. E. Dag Malmer Halvorsen gave a Reception in “Da Vinci bar & restaurant” in Bishkek. Representatives of diplomatic and consulate corps, state bodies, political parties, business community, non-commercial and international organizations were invited to the Reception.
